The Lord Gives

Job 1:21: And he said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."

Job 9:22-24:  It is all one; therefore I say,
'He destroys both the blameless and the wicked.'
When disaster brings sudden death,
he mocks at the calamity of the innocent.
The earth is given into the hand of the wicked;
he covers the faces of its judges—
if it is not he, who then is it?

Job 30:21: You have turned cruel to me;
with the might of your hand you persecute me.


Romans 11:29: For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

John 10:10: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

1 Timothy 6:12: Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
